Sycamore Grove Architects + Interiors is a boutique architecture practice dedicated to creating homes and spaces that are timeless, deeply personal, and thoughtfully connected to their surroundings. Based in New Hampshire, the firm designs custom homes, renovations, and boutique commercial spaces throughout New England, partnering with clients who value exceptional design, craftsmanship, and a collaborative process.
Every project begins with understanding. Rather than imposing a signature style, the practice listens first—learning how clients live, work, gather, and experience their surroundings. These conversations become the foundation for architecture that feels authentic to the people who inhabit it and the context in which it exists.
The studio believes that great architecture is measured not only by appearance, but by experience. Natural light, proportion, materiality, and the relationships between spaces are carefully considered to create environments that feel welcoming, purposeful, and enduring. Whether designing, every decision is guided by a commitment to thoughtful design and lasting quality.
As a boutique practice, Sycamore Grove offers a highly personal level of involvement from concept through construction. Clients work directly with the principal architect throughout the process, resulting in clear communication, continuity, and a shared commitment to creating distinctive spaces that are thoughtfully designed and built to last.

Britni Rotunda, AIA
Architect + Founder
Britni Rotunda is an award‑winning architect with more than twenty years of experience designing custom homes and boutique commercial spaces throughout New England. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for timeless architecture, thoughtful craftsmanship, and environments that are shaped around the people who live, work, and gather within them.
Britni believes that architecture is fundamentally personal. She approaches each project by listening carefully to her clients, understanding their lifestyle and vision, and translating that insight into spaces that feel natural, welcoming, and enduring. Her collaborative approach fosters strong relationships and allows every project—residential or commercial—to evolve thoughtfully from the earliest sketches through construction.
Her work has received numerous design awards and has been featured in New England Home, New Hampshire Home, Modern Luxury, Northshore Magazine, the New England Real Estate Journal, and the American Institute of Architects Forum.
After more than two decades in the industry at firms such as DeStefano Architects, Neubauer Ennis Architects, and Sheldon Pennoyer Architects, Britni established Sycamore Grove Architects + Interiors to provide a more personal, boutique experience—one that combines extensive design expertise with direct client collaboration and thoughtful attention to every detail.
Today, she continues to design homes and commercial spaces that celebrate their surroundings and create lasting environments where people can gather, connect, and thrive for years to come.
Nikki Miller, NCIDQ
Interior Designer
Nikki Miller is an NCIDQ-certified interior designer who brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to creating spaces that are both highly functional and deeply personal. With a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Endicott College, she has experience working across a range of project types and has a particular ability to balance the practical demands of a project with each client’s individual vision.
Before joining Sycamore Grove Architects, Nikki was an Interior Designer at Lassel Architects, where she contributed to residential and commercial projects throughout New England. Earlier in her career, Nikki and Britni worked together at DeStefano Architects (now Maugel DeStefano Architects), developing a longstanding professional relationship and shared approach to collaborative, client-centered design.
At Sycamore Grove Architects, Nikki brings her expertise in interior design to the firm’s integrated approach to architecture and interiors, helping create spaces that feel cohesive, purposeful, and uniquely suited to the people who inhabit them.
Lemon, AS
Chief Herding Officer (CHO)
Meet Lemon, our Chief Herding Officer. Born in Marstons Mills on Cape Cod, this energetic red merle Australian Shepherd brings a burst of sunshine to the office every single day alongside her mom, Britni. When she isn’t busy keeping the team’s morale high, Lemon is a true blue‑collar worker at heart; she and Britni regularly attend sheep‑herding clinics to hone her instincts.
On her days off, you’ll find her perfecting the art of fetch, supervising garden projects with great seriousness, or splashing around at the beach like it’s her full‑time job. Stop by the office to say hello. She accepts payment in belly rubs, treats, and occasional compliments on her impeccable pantaloons.

The Name.
The name Sycamore Grove has its roots in Britni’s childhood home in Pleasanton, California—the place where her love of architecture began.
When Britni was five years old, her parents purchased a half-acre property with an 800-square-foot chicken coop that had been converted into a house. Her father set up a drafting table in the garage, and over the next five years, her parents transformed the property into the home they envisioned: a perfectly symmetrical Victorian built on nights and weekends.
In the backyard stood four enormous, 300-year-old sycamore trees. Their expansive canopies stretched over the yard and house, becoming an integral part of the character of the home and the landscape around it.
The house, the trees, and the process of watching a home take shape left a lasting impression. It was here that Britni fell in love with architecture.
Nearly 40 years later, that love still endures. The sycamores have remained a lasting symbol of where that passion began—and the inspiration for Sycamore Grove.
A grove is made up of individual trees, each shaped by its own environment, yet together creating something greater than any one tree alone. The idea reflects the practice’s approach to architecture: every project is unique, shaped by its setting, its purpose, and the people who will experience it.
